Event Details
ONLINE SALES HAVE ENDED, HOWEVER THERE ARE PLENTY OF TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE MIGHTY BOX OFFICE AT 9PM
dBridge is a legendary figure in drum & bass. Though his career stretches back to the early 90s, it was in his role as one quarter of the irrepressible drum & bass super-group Bad Company in the late 90s and early 00s that he really stamped his mark on the scene, dominating the sound of drum & bass during that period. Tunes like ‘The Nine’, ‘Planet Dust’ and ‘Nitrous’ are unforgettable classics and are the tip of the iceberg of an incredible back catalogue of work from the foursome.
Since they disbanded, dBridge has carved a superb reputation as a solo artist, with a more refined sound that is no less effective in the clubs, with tunes like ‘True Romance’, ‘Odessa’ and ‘Twilight’ leaving a lasting impression on the scene. His label Exit Records is renowned for quality over quantity, with all releases carrying a touch of class.
He’s a highly sought after DJ, and his widespread appeal is best demonstrated by the fact that he regularly appears at nearly every one of our wide range of drum & bass nights, from the tough beats of Renegade Hardware to the soulful vibes of Swerve, via Ram Records rave-up and Shogun Audio’s slightly more left of centre throw-down.
Lynx
(soul:r, detail, digital soundboy, creative source - uk)
Opening his new label Detail Recordings in 2010, Lynx is a man on a
mission to deliver only the freshest and most innovative sounds in
underound electronic music. Standout tracks including 'Disco Dodo' and
'Global Enemies' may have helped make his name across the worldwide
drum & bass scene but the sheer diversity and quality of Lynx's output
across labels like Soul:r, Creative Source, Digital Soundboy and Bingo
have marked him as a producer par-excellence. Recent remixes for
Metalheadz, Hospital and Innerground have shown he remains ahead of
the rest, with cutting-edge studio skills and the drive to explore new
musical avenues. A diverse and talented DJ, his live sets are largely
built on exclusive and upfront material with an eclectic feel
appealing to clubbers across the spectrum. Collaborating with Sense MC
for his latest release on Detail ('For the Rebels' released October
2010), Lynx has demonstrated once again his ability to mix vocals with
musicality and straight dancefloor-appeal, keeping the standard high
and staying true to his own style.
<<<:::||| Bachelors of Science |||:::>>>
(horizons, santorin, www.bachelorsofscience.com - SF)
As long-time residents of the weird and always unexpected city of San
Francisco, Bachelors Of Science are renowned for mixing up and making
unique blends of laid back, tripped-out, soul drenched tracks that are
designed to be listened to as well as just heard on the floor.
Choosing quality over quantity, they are regarded as one of the most
consistently innovative and sought-after remixers and producers of the
area, working with everyone from dance music legends Groove Armada and
Paradox to indie darlings Home Video and Silver Swans. The Bachelors
continue to defy those that try to categorize them into a genre. From
the deep liquid drum n bass inspired by their hometown of London and
the likes of High Contrast and LTJ Bukem to the minimal inspired
Autonomic sounds of dBridge and sun-drenched 4/4 grooves inspired by
fellow SF locals Dirtybird … the Bachelors have retained their quality
and a large and loyal following throughout, garnering plays from Annie
Mac, Basement Jaxx, LTJ Bukem, High Contrast, Loxy, Doc Scott, DJ
Hype, Reid Speed, Alix Perez, Grooverider and DJ Marky.
